Great Bay Science Center

Today we went to the Great Bay Science Center.  How did I now know this was here?  It is awesome! The gardens are really impressive, there is so much to do and see, it is really relaxing and a tucked away little gem.  This is when my new job really gets me, as I spent most of the time calculating the school group attendance and seeing how they broke their groups up and figuring if they had volunteers leading it...  Or thinking about how they smartly oriented their campus, and how they have great landscaping, which we could use...  But, alas.

I did stop after a bit, broke away and watched the guys, who are too cute.  They enjoyed wandering the paths almost as much as me, and were really excited to learn more.  It is a bummer that the school group was there because we couldn't really do any of the activities or go into the center, but we will come back in July or August for sure.  It is right down the street pretty much!

The outdoor boats that the kids could climb on were the biggest hit.  This was so much of a hit that there was a little bit of a distraction by my eldest, and sure enough with only 3 seconds to spare he began to scream: "I have to go pee."  With the bathrooms being three stories away across the area where we were, we took to the woods.  My goal of teaching my son not to pee in public is not working out.

Best thing about the place, a train goes right through.  So, while walking in the woods, holding hands, my boys heard and saw a choo-choo, with the real whistle and everything.  It was pretty much the pinnacle of their day!
