We arrived in Hilton Head yesterday. The flight was eventful... James was not happy, again. And, this time I did medicate him! Doctor's orders, since he is still recovering from his ear infections. I guess it is just not easy or fun to travel with a baby. Pretty soon though he will be older and it will get easier, right?
James has been doing his wake up at the crack of dawn thing again, which is a bummer, especially on vacation. What will make him sleep later than 5:30? Argh!
Joel Andrew is having a ball. He went right out with Pa last night, playing until bedtime. They are partners in crime, those two. Joel gets pretty bratty when he is first reunited with Pa - not Pa's fault at all, just Joel Andrew is so excited to have someone fun to be a buddy with, that he forgets his manners to anyone else in the room sometimes. This makes Mommy a little angry, but Joel Andrew and I had a good chat today, and he is much better. He even went for a walk with Nana this morning which was very nice for both him and Nana. Pa is a Joel Andrew hog, but can you blame him?
They went to the beach today, and boy was that fun and exciting. Joel Andrew saw a jellyfish, the dolphins, lots of doggies and birds. James loved it, it was his first time. Mommy just held him and he giggled and giggled. He sat in the water and laughed, he ate cheerios - though the sand to cheerio ratio was a little off there... He was having a ball, but then all of the sudden, James had enough. All the morning fun has made them both really hungry, and hopefully really tired for some good afternoon naps! Now off to catch some crabs from the dock, and then lunch!
