Yesterday, while Baby James was napping (mommy is insisting this boy adhere to his schedule this trip, since we get back and the next day he starts daycare) - Grumpy and Joely went to the Train Station to see some trains. It was Joel's first time at the train station, he loved it. He was overwhelmed by the big double decker trains and got to see one pulling out of the station.
We then walked to the elevated subway train, and went in one of the stations. How cool are they? The loop train stations, which are all elevated in Chicago, are just as they were 70, 80 years ago it seems (maybe older, didn't get the history lesson here). Anyway, they are super-neat to walk in. Grumpy paid 5 bucks (kids ride free) and we got on the "choo-choo" for one stop. Joel's first ride! All of the passengers though he was hysterical. Then we walked back home. Great way to kill an hour in the city! Photos to come soon!
