I am going to be yelled at to go to bed any moment now... But I wanted to let you know that he is growing fast. Today at the LC we learned he is now 8 pounds, 13 ounces! This is a whole pound more than when he was born. He is growing an average of 1.75 ounces a day!

He no longer fits into his favorite PJs and we really should be out of the newborn clothes and into 0-3 months - but I am sad to see them go! A few photos of his favorite sleeping outfit... This was probably the last time he may wear it. Oh, the memories!

Here is hoping the growth continues. Now that he is on the right breastfeeding track - the new struggle is trying to calculate if he has really eaten enough!
Ah, I remember the stress of knowing whether Cameron was getting enough food while breastfeeding! J has already grown a pound so you are doing great. The amount of time that he spends on each boob is not a good indication if he's getting enough. Instead, count the number of wet/dirty diapers. If he has 5-7 a day then he's getting enough. And it's totally normal if he wants to eat every hour in the evening. Exhausting, but normal. It means he's cluster feeding and getting ready for a longer sleep period. And really, isn't that good for you? Sleep is your very best friend right now...
ReplyDeleteAnother one of the Jenkins triplets here - we haven't met, but my mom told me about your blog. You have a beautiful son, congratulations! Isn't it sad when they start to outgrow their clothes? Good, of course, since it means they're doing a good job growing, but still sad!
