Today we helped out. Well, sort of. This summer we will be volunteering for the
Ride for Green, an event hosted by my former employer. It should be really fun, people bike riding from the South Shore to the North Shore of Mass to raise money for land conservation. Of course, I will not be bike riding, instead I will be flipping burgers! So, J and I went to the location of the future burger flip to check things out. Then afterwards we went to my old office to have a picnic with some of my old coworkers.
It was a big bummer that so many of my old coworkers were out, but at least we got to see Vassar and Beth! J really enjoyed chatting with them over his picnic food. As you can tell, he also enjoyed the gardens. Long Hill is a great place for a picnic and a walk. GORGEOUS gardens! Right now they even have a plant sale going on, 1/2 off for all of your gardeners. They have also since added chickens, which J loved.
We are sure to be back again soon!
