Sad Face

We are all very sad faced around here lately because our little man is not himself. He is trying to be himself, but his teeth are killing him. It looks like his two-year molars are coming in, on both sides.

The poor guy tries to eat, or have fun, and then screams in pain. He points to the back of his mouth and says Ouch. Not funny, but sort of funny, Joel Husband offered to "kiss the boo boo" and Joel Andrew stuck his tongue out to the side and expected Daddy to get at the root of the problem. Very cute, but very sad.

He has bitten his tongue a few times too which is also painful, probably trying to avoid his back teeth when chewing. So far we have tried to keep him full with ice cream, store-bought muffins, yogurt, applesauce and avocado. If he tries to eat anything else it erupts in screaming.

We gave him Ibuprofen tonight. Any advice? What else can he eat? We are going to the Dr tomorrow for a check-up post his most recent ear infection, so hopefully they will have some advice. What a bummer for a normally happy guy!
